Veggies and Walks

So, what have I been doing! trying to grow some broccoli but those lovely white butterflies are liking them more, the bigger the leaves get the more holes they get. I will have to get some netting or some lace curtains from the op shop and try to keep them out.

I have planted some herbs and waiting for them to get bigger but not sure if this planter is going to be right for them, some are doing better than other. I am going to try and create a herb garden using wooden pallets and things like milk bottles, yoghurt tubs and ice cream containers, so they don’t get put into landfill. What do you think will that work?

We did have success with snow peas and need to pull this lot out and plant some more seeds. the snow peas didn’t last long, I mean we got a good amount, but we picked them and ate them nice and fresh from the plant. I think my daughter had more than I did.

So what veggies are good to grow when you have limited space? we are going to try and grow some cherry tomatoes and normal tomatoes and have a go at making our own tomato sauce and pasta sauce. Maybe also some types of lettuce/salad mix, capsicums if we can. Being in a rental can be hard when there is nowhere suitable to put in a veggie patch. Just need the winning lotto numbers.

So have been doing my morning walks and have the most beautiful scenery to look at while on the walks, it is so peaceful at 5-5.30 in the morning. I think it is the best time of the day (in spring/summer) when the sun comes up early enough to go for walks, it wakes me up, gets me ready for the rest of the day and gives me time to think. I also take some amazing products before I go on my walks in the mornings which are and Energy Fizz, Sport Hydration and a Mind health sticks, they give you energy, keep you hydrated and clears your mind.

These are only some of the products I use to help with my weight loss and health goals. I do have to say these are not to replace a healthy diet or to replace food, they are for helping to top up what you may be missing in your diet and more.
